Goofs and Gaffs all around

Paintings

I primarily work in paint (acrylic and oil) and printmaking (linocut and silkscreen), though I also love to work with found/recycled materials.

Often, my practice includes a lot of experimentation with different materials and concepts, and I love finding new ways to combine these mediums.

My work serves as a physical manifestation of my own attempt to comprehend and connect to the world around me. Much of my work focuses on themes of identity, mental health, and internet culture, with a focus on colour and visual structure.

Prints

Printmaking is a very special medium to me; my grandfather was a printer for much of his life, and I love to carry on that practice in a more creative fashion.

Whether it be linocut or silkscreen, I like to keep a strong illustrative and graphic element in my work.

With so much demand for contemporary graphic design and a smooth, crisp, โ€˜perfectโ€™ look expected in everything these days, I find beauty in the imperfections and variations that are caused by printing manually. Itโ€™s like I always say- the jankier, the better.
